The USS Chaffee (NCC-83971) is a Saber-class starship commanded by Commander Taro Niya operating as part of Starfleet's Fourth Fleet. Assigned to Challenger Squadron in January 2402, the Chaffee was tasked with performing support duties for the Squadron flagship, USS Challenger.
