The USS Typhoon (NCC-90000) is a Typhoon-class exploratory cruiser constructed by the Federation Starfleet. She is the prototype for the Typhoon-class and is currently under the command of Captain Giovanni D'Antonio and is assigned to the Fourth Fleet's Task Force 93. A product of Avalon Fleet Yards, the ship features the latest in technological innovations and systems with a focus on independent exploration missions.

Primarily a deep space exploration ship, her advanced long-range sensors allow her to explore deep into the unknown. And her extensive diplomatic facilities can help facilitate first contact missions while out in deep space. The Typhoon is also well equipped for humanitarian, engineering, logistical, and even medical support. She is also capable of search and rescue and tactical missions in conjunction with her exploration duties.

Physical Configuration

Bridge, Deck 1

The bridge of the Typhoon is located on deck one, and serves as the epicenter of all command decisions. In the center of the bridge is the command area, the captain sits in the center flanked by the executive officer to his right and a specialist to his left. All three command chairs are upholstered in a dark beige leather as are the rest of the seating on the bridge. Situated directly behind the command area are the tactical and security consoles respectively. Within the command area on the floor was the Federation emblem, which functioned as a holo-communicator. The front of the bridge featured a large combined console with both flight control and operation stations. The side consoles looking inward towards the center of the room were science I and communications, located on the port and starboard side respectively.

At the front of the bridge, there was a wide-angled window that filled the forward bulkhead. This window has holographic projectors built into the rim, that allowed it to function as a traditional viewscreen. In an emergency, it could become an escape hatch with the ability to open into space and vent everything on the bridge. In the event that it was damage, it had the ability to lower force fields until the bulkhead could be replaced. Working clockwise from the view screen there was the emergency turbolift, science II, environmental control, engineering I, an alcove that head a door to the bridge head and observation lounge, at the aft was the master systems display, continuing along the port side was turbolift I, engineering II, mission ops I, mission ops II and lastly the door to the captain's ready room.

Ready Room, Deck 1

The ready room of the Typhoon is located on the port side of the bridge. A sizable area, functioned as both a private cabin and office. The focal point of the space was a solid oak desk, next to the door that was a small sitting area that featured a pull out sofa. Dotted around the room were various pictures and knick-knacks from his several years of service, including his viola. Several holographs were situated on his desk and on shelving around the room displaying family, close friends and crew.
