IKS T'Ong

From Bravo Fleet

IKS T'Ong IKS-112 is a K't'inga-class starship of the Klingon Empire currently assigned to Fourth Fleet's Task Force 72 under a cross-command exchange program.

The IKS T’Ong has slept more than once. In the late twenty-third century, she was dispatched on a century-long sleeper mission under Captain K’Temoc, her crew awakening to find an Empire transformed and a peace they could hardly comprehend. After her return, the ship was refit and saw decades of honorable service to the Empire before finally being struck from the fleet rolls. For decades, she rested in drydock at Korvat, her once proud hull gathering dust beneath the banners of newer wars.

When the fortunes of House Varek waned, so too did its prospects in the Empire. Once revered as master smiths of the Empire, the forgers of blades for Chancellors and champions alike, the house fell from favor with the ascent of the House of Duras. Deprived of new patronage after the death of their patriarch Davok, and stripped of political standing, the family turned from craft to salvage. In 2401, HoD K'trok, Son of Morak, became determined to revive the derelict K't'inga class hulk of the T'Ong with what little wealth remained to his line.

The T’Ong that emerged from Morska’s foundries is no museum relic. Reconstructed with scavenged components and whatever technology K’trok’s house could beg or barter, she is an anachronism made deadly once more. Her disruptor arrays burn hotter than regulation permits, her hull bears the scars of an imperfect refit, and her cloak hums with the uneven rhythm of a ship held together by willpower, pride, and honor. Service aboard her is viewed as an indignity by many of those in power in the Empire, but to those who wear the crest of the House of Varek, she is defiance and resilience made manifest.

Now recommissioned under the Imperial Defense Force, the IKS T’Ong patrols the borders of the Empire once more. She is a testament that a Klingon’s honor does not tarnish with age, and that even an old blade, when tempered in hardship, can still cut deeply.
