USS Bohr (NCC-79828) is a Nova-class Federation starship currently assigned to Fourth Fleet's Fleet Operations. She forms a part of Sirius Squadron where she acts as a surveyor, charting and studying territory largely within the Federation interior, under the command of Captain Juliette Yves.
As part of Memphis Division, the Bohr is the premier surveyor of the unit, dedicated to charting unexplored space and conducting follow-up study of regions larger and more fast-moving explorers have already passed by. Her day-to-day is survey work of the beleaguered frontiers where Sirius Squadron often finds itself, expanding Federation knowledge of regions where Starfleet has rarely turned its attention. This simple work is thus often anything but; aside from the consistent surprises of deep space, the Bohr may operate in politically volatile regions, providing Starfleet scientific outreach as well as charting work.
When operating alongside the squadron, the Bohr is often the forward eyes of ships like the mighty researcher, the Memphis, gathering data to be studied more in-depth by the division flagship. Otherwise, she follows up on more detailed study of points of concern in emergent situations, where larger explorers may be needed elsewhere, but a firm basis of understanding is essential in shoring up the wider mission.
