Vega Division

With the United Federation of Planets struggling to maintain the influence and primacy of its fading golden-age, Starfleet tasks the Lamarr-class long-range explorer, USS Vega, with a 5-year mission to return to the Gamma Quadrant and seek out new opportunities for diplomacy and exploration. Desperate to forge new alliances with the races left abandoned by the withdrawal of the Dominion to its own borders, the need to establish new alliances beyond the borders of the Federation has never been more pressing.

At the same time, the need to secure Alpha Quadrant territories in the aftermath of the Blackout remains a top priority for Bravo Fleet and the Echelon-class USS Astute continues its mission of humanitarian aid and border security within the former DMZ and around the Bajoran Wormhole.
